Smalltalk Ninja is an anonymous chat site where you choose who you talk to.
Can I choose who I talk to?
Yes. Smalltalk Ninja shows you who is online, and you start the conversation with the person you picked. There is no random matching and no next button.
Can I talk to more than one person at once?
Yes. Someone can invite you into their private group on Smalltalk Ninja, and joining costs nothing. Groups are invitation only — there is no directory of rooms for a stranger to walk into.
Do I need an email address or a phone number?
No. Smalltalk Ninja asks for no name, email, phone or password. A secret access code is the whole account — which also means nobody can reset it for you if you lose it.
Do conversations carry on, or disappear when I close the tab?
They carry on. Come back with your access code and your conversations are still there — it is not a guest session that empties when you close the tab.
Can I put a second lock on my account?
Yes, optionally — add it to your authenticator app. There is no SMS and no phone number.
Is there video?
No. Smalltalk Ninja is text only — no camera, no microphone, nothing to install.
Can we play a game while we talk?
Yes. Smalltalk Ninja puts a board beside the conversation — chess, draughts, reversi, nine men's morris, four in a row, dots and boxes, oware, makruk, hnefatafl, adugo, dara, fanorona and bagh-chal. The same thirteen boards also have a board games section of their own, where two people play by swapping a link with no account at either end. They are free to play, and you take your turn when you like: you don't both have to be online.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Smalltalk Ninja is the whole site on a phone, not a cut-down version of it, and it runs in the browser you already have. Add it to your home screen and it opens like an app — there is nothing to get from an app store.
Does anyone read my messages?
No. Moderators only ever see a conversation somebody reported. Nothing is scanned, and the AI that handles reports and translation runs on hardware we own rather than a third-party service.
Is it free?
Yes. There is nothing to pay, no card to enter, no ads, and no trial that runs out.
Will I get flooded with messages?
No. An account that keeps starting conversations nobody answers has its reach capped, so one person cannot message everybody.
